POLICIES

In an effort to help give each person the best recording experience, we have come up with a list of policies designed to help the recording process.  The key to a successful recording project is planning.  The studio can be a stressful place to be, but it doesn’t have to be.  Preparation and clear communication can help us in making the recording session run as smoothly as possible.  Please take the time to read through these policies, and if you would like more information feel free to read our article on Recording Tips.

  1. Projects usually book out 2 to 4 weeks in advance.  Once a time is agreed upon, that is when the billing begins.  If you need to cancel, please do so 48 hours prior to when the session starts.  Any cancellation made after the 48 hour window will result in a $100 cancellation fee.
  2. Depending on the size of your project and your choice of recording format, you may need to purchase a hard drive on which to save your audio files.  If your project is small and you decide to use the hard drives at the studio your data will be saved for 30 days after completion of your project.  If no attempt is made to schedule time to back up your files in the 30 day time period, your data will be erased from the system.  DVD-R’s and CD-R’s can be purchased at an additional fee.
  3. If there is any damage done to the recording equipment by misuse or being careless, the repair or the replacement of the item(s) will be added on to the final bill of the project.
  4. Only bring people who are necessary to the project at hand.  Having too many people in the studio can be distracting and keep us from focusing on the things we need to pay attention to get the best recording that we can.
  5. Payment is due at the end of each session, unless another arrangement is agreed upon.
  6. Final masters will not be handed out until payment is received in full.

Miscellaneous Fee’s

    • Hard Drives- You can usually pick them up from $80-$140 depending on the storage capacity and the brand.  If you’re not sure what kind to get, just ask us.  Or if you’d like for us to just supply a drive, we can get you one and add the price to the final bill of the project.
    • DVD-R’s- $10/DVD
    • CD-R’s $3/CD
    • 2” Analog tape $180/reel for new tape, $90/reel for used reel.
