8-Fold Path Recording is a Minneapolis based recording studio offering Pro-Tools HD-2 and 24 track analog recording. We offer musicians and bands a high quality recording environment in which to record their projects. We’ve designed our space to record and mix a variety of musical styles including rock, jazz, blues, country, bluegrass, metal, folk, and singer/songwriters. We realize that each recording project is unique and deserves personalized attention, and it is exactly this personalized attention that forms the foundation of 8-Fold Path Recording.
Our studio was built throughout 1996-2004 by head engineer Greg Bernett, along with help from his father and brother. We started with a Tascam 4 track cassette recorder that local garage bands would use to record their demo tapes. Greg would invite the bands over, and with a modest set of microphones they’d track at his house. From there things began to grow slowly. After a short period, we finally acquired a 24 track digital recorder, and by that time there was a formidable “buzz” spreading around the Twin Cities that there was a new, good, (and affordable!) place to go and record your music. 8-Fold Path Recording became an actual company in 2002, and now we are proud to offer our clients Pro Tools HD-2, 24 track analog on our MCI JH-24, and 3 different recording rooms. We have recorded hundreds of projects for local artists throughout the past ten years and we look forward to recording hundreds of more.
